Some things wait until Tuesday. A burning smell from the switchboard, a sparking outlet, scorch marks around a switch, or water getting into an electrical fitting are not among them.
If you're on our patch and it's genuinely unsafe, we'll get to you the same day wherever we can. Before we arrive we'll talk you through making the situation safe over the phone, usually by turning off the relevant circuit or the main switch.

If it's safe to reach the switchboard, turn off the affected circuit, or the main switch if you're not sure which one it is. Don't touch anything wet, hot or sparking. Call us and we'll talk you through it.
If your neighbours are out too it's the distributor's network and they'll be working on it. If it's just you, it's on your side of the meter and we can help.
