EV Charger Installation
Charging from a standard powerpoint works, but it's slow. Roughly 10 to 15 km of range an hour, so an overnight charge barely covers a decent commute. A dedicated 7kW wall charger does the same job three to four times faster, and stops you tying up a general power circuit for twelve hours a night.
Every install starts with a load assessment: what your switchboard can carry, what the supply into the property will take, and whether load management is needed so the charger backs off when the oven and the aircon are both running.
We install all the common brands, run the cable neatly to wherever you actually park, and set up the app and the charging schedule with you before we leave.

Sometimes. If your board is full or still on ceramic fuses we'll need to make room and add RCD protection. That gets checked during the free load assessment, so there are no surprises on the day.
A 7kW single-phase charger adds roughly 40 km of range per hour, which is a full overnight charge for almost any EV. Three-phase 11kW or 22kW is faster again, but only if your car can accept it, so it's worth checking before you spend the extra.
Not safely or legally, because cables can't cross a public footpath. If you have off-street parking anywhere on the property, even a carport at the rear, we can usually run to it.
