Intermittent faults are the ones that cost people money, because it's tempting to guess. Someone swaps the breaker, the tripping stops for a fortnight, then it's back, and you've paid for a part you never needed.
We isolate faults properly. Split the circuit, test insulation resistance, check earth continuity, and load test until the fault shows itself. Sometimes it's a nail through a cable from a picture hook. Sometimes it's a failing appliance and the wiring is perfectly fine.
You'll be told what the fault actually was, not just that it's fixed. That includes the times the honest answer is that your oven element is on the way out and there's nothing wrong with the circuit.

Usually a faulty appliance leaking current to earth, moisture in an outdoor circuit, or degraded insulation somewhere in the wiring. It's doing exactly what it's meant to. We find which of the three it is rather than swapping the switch and hoping.
In most cases, yes. Testing narrows a fault down to a section of circuit before anything gets opened. If access is unavoidable we'll show you exactly where and why before we cut.
It can be. If you can smell burning, see scorching, or a switch or outlet is hot to touch, turn the main switch off and call us straight away.
