Terms of Service

These terms apply to quotes issued and work carried out by Spark Life Electrical Contractors (REC 27891) unless we have agreed something different with you in writing.

Quotes

Quotes are fixed for the scope described and valid for 30 days. If we open up a wall or a switchboard and find something materially different from what was quoted, we stop, explain it, and give you a revised price before continuing. You will never receive a variation you did not approve first.

Access and site conditions

We need safe access to the work area, the switchboard, and any roof or subfloor space involved. Where access is blocked or unsafe on the day and we cannot proceed, a call-out charge may apply.

Workmanship warranty

Our workmanship is guaranteed. If something we installed or repaired is not right, tell us and we will return and make it right at no cost. Materials and appliances carry their manufacturer's warranty, which we will help you claim.

What is not covered

Pre-existing faults outside the quoted scope, damage caused by others after we leave, and failure of appliances we did not supply are not covered by our workmanship warranty.

Certificates

A Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for all prescribed work and provided to you on completion. Keep it, because your insurer may ask for it.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless other terms have been agreed in writing. Larger jobs may be invoiced in stages, set out in the quote.

Cancellation

Let us know as early as you can. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may attract a fee covering materials already ordered for your job.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
