Electric Hot Water
When an electric hot water system stops, it's usually one of three things: the element, the thermostat, or the circuit feeding it. All three are ours to deal with, and all three are usually a same visit fix.
We also handle changeovers to off-peak tariffs, which is worth doing if your system is on continuous supply. Heating a tank overnight on a controlled load tariff typically costs around half.
For a new system we do the electrical side: the circuit, the isolator and the connection. We work alongside your plumber so it's one coordinated job rather than two trades blaming each other.

Hot water questions.
If there's no hot water at all and no leak, it's usually electrical, meaning the element or the thermostat. Leaks, pressure problems and valve failures are plumbing. We'll tell you honestly which one it is rather than charging you for a call-out to say it isn't ours.
If your system is on continuous supply and your household's usage is fairly predictable, off-peak usually cuts the running cost of the tank by about half. It's a straightforward changeover.
Typically eight to twelve years, less in hard water areas. If your system is over ten years old and the element has already failed once, replacing the whole unit is often better value than another repair.
